AVERSA – CARXX Lights in rectangular cluster NORTH of CAPUA (POW Camp?) 1 Vessel 60 miles NORTH C. ORLANDO, 2 vessels area X 2099. Light flashing "MU" considered from USTICA Is. or vessel at sea. Many lights at NORTH of PALERMO area. One report states S/Ls groped then remained fixed 60° to ground pointing NORTH in AVERSA area.
Target easily identified from River VOLTURNO, Rds and RRs 6 bombs across centre of town, 5 in N.E. portion, I jettisoned 1 mile EAST, 6 50/100 yards SOUTH RD CAPUA VETERE – ALBANOVA with direct hit on light on Rd CAPUA – AVERSA by last bomb of stick, 6 along Rd CAPUA VETERE – CAPUA 1 mile from target. NO other results observed.
