Provenance, methodology, and archival references. This project works from two independent transcriptions of the same Operations Record Book — designated Witness H and Witness M — collated through a structured review process.
Witness H
The primary transcription, sourced from [archive reference TBD]. Contains editorial annotations and research notes added by the transcriber, which are flagged and excluded from the collated text.
Witness M
An independent transcription of the same ORB pages, sourced from [archive reference TBD]. Contains OCR artifacts and occasional date-mistagging errors which are caught during the collation process.
Collation Method
Each date's entry is compared token-by-token between both witnesses. Where they agree, the text is accepted. Where they differ, the conflict is recorded and presented for human review. The collation tool flags anomalies including content loss, entity conflicts, date mis-tagging, and OCR artifacts.
