AGRICULTURE.A number of lists of agricultural pamphlets that can bepurchased by men interested in farming, is held in the Orderly Room.As there are no suitable agricultural correspondence courses, thesepamphlets are of immense value.All interested are to make enquiries at the Orderly Room.All pamphlets to be ordered through Education Officer,S.A.A.F. Admin., H.Q., U.D.F., M.E.F.Para. 267. PRECAUTIONS AGAINST THEFT.It is notified for the information of all personnel that alarge brick kit store is available at Alexandria Main Station onPlatform 1, and it is open and under guard day and night.It is recommended that all personnel visiting Alexandria forshort periods should take advantage of this facility and deposit kitbags in the store. It is to be noted, however, that kit must notremain in the store for longer than 24 hours.(G.R.O. Ser. 92. para. 264 dd. 17.7.44.)Para. 268. CORRESPONDENCE COURSES.There is only one recognised channel for despatch of mailsbetween soldiers and Correspondence Colleges in the Union. All letters,scripts, forms, fees, from troops must be sent via orderly rooms to :-S.A.A.F. Edc. Offr., S.A.A.F. Admin., H.Q., M.E.F.This is a security regulation and must be complied with.These mails will be sent to the Union by official Air Mail,at no cost to the student. Similiar papers from the Union will becollected and sent North by D.M.I. (Army Education) by air. To facilitatethis scheme, all papers and scripts from soldiers must show number,rank, name, unit and the College to which they have to be sent.The officers above are responsible for giving all advice andsupervision in regard to private study. No soldier is permitted to actas an agent or canvasser for any College and to accept remuneration forsuch service.(G.R.O. Ser. 92. para. 267. dd. 17.7.44.)Para. 269. MARRIAGE.Personnel in this Command are not permitted to contactmarriages without the express authority of Headquarters.
