BA M.T. and fortification in area bounded by MARETH-ZARET-WADI ZIGZAOU, and GABES main road. BB From 0202 to 0242 hours BC Individual medium level bombing attack 54x250 lbs. G.P. with 6" rods 43 det. BD 5 a/c briefed to bomb area south of MARETH-ZARET road and 5 a/c briefed to bomb North of WADI ZIGZAOU. 9 A/C located the target and dropped their bombs in the target area. 3 a/c bombed on courses from 180 deg. to 238 deg. and 6 a/c on courses from 340 deg. to 059 deg. One a/c with a long stick bombed the WADI ZIGZAOU. No definite results of bombings were observed and no fires seen. . BE 4 H.A.A. guns seen from TZ 5308 Approx. 8 guns H.A.A. seen from top of wadi at TZ 6110 Fairly intense, eihight (sic) accurate, but to starboard of a/c. BF NIL BG NIL BH Steady white light at sea QJ 7433 At YE 5090 Three flares and bomb bursts seen. Oxygen in 3 a/c only. none available for balance of a/c.
