A : 12 Marauders airborne between 1415 hrs and 1635 in three boxes of four to bomb Gunpositions and troops in an area 4 miles North of LUGO. The Boxes bombed from 10,600 to 12,300' at 1538 - 1544 hrs. on a course of 210º. The first box scored a perfect "BULL" with 100% of bombs in the target. 2nd Box had a slight overshoot, bombs falling from the southern edge of the target to the south. The 3rd Box did a dummy run. On the second run bombs undershot, finishing on Northern edge of target. There was area cover by fighters Enemy opposition consisted of slight fairly accurate H/A/A. Visibility was fair in slight haze and weather over target clear. Formation dispensed 52 pkts of P.W.B. Pamp. (Front Post) and 8 packets of "Safe Conduct Passes". Bombs of one a/c in first Box hung-up and were jettisoned in sea.
