Rendezvous at PENNA POINT with an escort of 6 Spitfires. Attack took
place at 1604 hrs from 12300' on a course of 320°. Both boxes bombs
merged into 1 pattern from L455410 to L450415 straddling road and
northern half of town. Several direct hits on buildings. Two D/hits
on road. Black smoke from target. One explosion with red flash and
one explosion followed by numerous yellow flashes. No enemy opposition.
Weather good. All A/c landed by 1715 hrs.
