Formation took off from BIFERNO L/G between 1115 - 1125 Hrs and, after Rv with 223 Sqdn (Leading) attacked in two boxes at 1230 Hrs from about 12000' on a course of 210°-235°. First box undershot and pattern extended from 116184 to 113179 just short of station, while second box overshot from 112179 to 110176 the long pattern ending into the middle of the town. NO hits on target claimed which was obscured by pall of smoke, presumably from bombing of 223 Sqdn, and 5 explosions and fires were observed in M/Yds. All a/c returned by 1335 Hrs, one sustaining slight prop damage on landing (Cat.1).
