OPERATION NO. 7/21/M
A. : 12 Marauders airborne, accompanied by a further 6 A/C of 12
Squadron from PESCARA at 0830 hrs. to attack FORLI M/YARDS.
From FALCONARA 8 Spitfires provided close escort. Formation
crossed coast at M. 5060( over Lake COMACCHIO) and attacked
from 11,000 feet on a course of about 150º at 1017 hrs.
Pattern of both boxes merged in a 500 yards concentrated
stick straddling M/Yrds at M.445168, with numerous D/H's
on R.R. Lines and buildings at beginning and end of pattern.
No enemy opposition encountered.
Weather:- Target clear of cloud, but visibility poor due to
haze. All A/C down by 1120 hrs.
