A. : 12 Marauders (followed by 12 A/C of 30 Squadron) airborne from PESCARA at 0745 hrs. to attack FORLI M/YARDS. Formation set course at 0855 hrs. from FALCONARA, where an escort of 8 Spit- fires was picked up, and bombed by boxes, line astern at from 11,000 feet at 0925 hrs. on a course of 270º. First box over- shot badly, bombs falling in centre of FORLI TOWN. Second box undershot, pattern commencing in open country and finished just short of the N.E. end of the M/Yards. 4 x 1000 lbs. bombs jettisoned in sea and 2 x 1000 hung-up and were brought back.
