PRETORIUS INTENTION:- The Squadron will proceed to Middle East by (a) Rail and Sea (b) Air (A) PERSONNEL TRAVELLING BY RAIL AND SEA. METHOD :- A Detachment under the command of Major B.B.F. Russell, Squadron Adjutant, will proceed by rail and sea as follows :- Personnel enumerated in Annexure "A" will entrain at Nakuru at 07.56 hours on the 11.7.41 in accordance with instructions issued by Movement Control Order No. 526. The Detachment will be under the command of Lt. P.J. Carroll from Nakuru to Mombasa. Two Officers and five details will join the train at Nairobi at approximately 15.00 hours on the 11.7.41. On arriving at Mombasa O.C. train will take the necessary steps to ensure that all details embark on the ship without delay. ADMINSTRATION :- Two days rations per man and two days bulk reserve rations will be drawn at Nakuru prior to departure from the R.A.F. Station, Nakuru. O.C., A.F.R.D., will be responsible that the above two Officers and five details join the train at Nairobi. Major Russell, Lt. Reid, Lt. Hazelhurst and two N.C.Os will proceed in advance to Mombasa to make the necessary arrangements for embarkation and will meet the Detachment on arrival at Mombasa. Discipline, Hygiene, Sanitation, etc., will be in accordance with Movement Control Order No. 526 and O.C. Detachment will be responsible for the efficient carrying out of instructions contained therein. (B) PERSONNEL TRAVELLING BY AIR. Personnel as shown on Annexure "B", will leave Nakuru at a date to be advised later, by air, using the Squadrons own aircraft, under the command of the O.C. Major J.D. Pretorius, S.A.S.O., AHQ.
