First box attacked the larger of 2 M/Vs (6000 tons) with steam up moored at U1679. The second M/V of about 4000 tons was 200 yds WEST of the first one. One burst was between the two M/Vs remainder of bombs overshooting scoring 2 near misses on the larger one, and position U2076 moving on course 130º. Near misses scored, pattern falling to N.E. of M/V and ending on a small island where a large volume of white smoke resulted.
