12 Marauders off from IESI by 1335 hrs to attack ENGINE SHEDS (G629758) at the Eastern end of TREVISO M/Y. One A/c returned with bombs after 50 min. with engine trouble and, on landing overshot runway (A/c Cat. II. - No peronnel injured). Remaining 11 after R/v with an escort of 8 Mustangs at FANO, set course at 1358 hrs., crossed coast at PIAVE River mouth and bombed in two boxes at 1445 hrs. from 13000' & 12400' on 310º & 340º respectively. Both boxes straddled briefed pinpoint, with direct hits on large Engine Shed and surrounding approach tracks, and buildings; end of patterns finished on Main lines, stationary train and junction of two separate lines of tracks leading into Eastern section of M/Yards. Two A/c of first box dropped WINDOW from 10 miles before bombing, continuing till well after turn-off. Moderate fairly accurate H/A/A at first Box shortly after bombing (4 A/c holed), none at 2nd Box. Weather: 10/10 alt/str. 15000' target area; clear below. Last A/c down at 1605 hrs.
