12 Marauders briefed to attack the M/Yards at FORLI, each carrying 4 x 1000 Demo. Bombs. Formation Airborne by 0737 hrs. and set course at 0750 hrs. in boxes of 4 A/c each, arriving over target at 0852 hrs. First Box after a Dummy run bombed from 11500 ft. on course of 330º and two A/c straddled Eastern portion of Target. One A/c's bombs hung-up(Brought back); other A/c released late bombs falling at M410178, 2 miles West of the Target. Second box bombed from 11800 ft. on a course of 290º, result being a Lateral Right error pattern running parallel with M/Yards. Third Box bombed CESENA M/Y by mistake on a course of 115° from 11500 ft. result being a left lateral error. Direct hits were scored on buildings at M603803. 2 x 1000 hung-up - brought back. Intense accurate H.A.A. from CESENATICO to Target and back to the Coast. 10 A/c holed. Weather: Target clear but 4/10 to 8/10 layer cloud from 5–20,000 ft. in vicinity.
