Five heavy guns directed inaccurate fire at the formation from pp. 823318.
Results
From a point pp. 845316 to L.G. 104 the main road and tracks along the road were fairly covered with M.T. moving West. A fair number of M.T. was parked along the road, and at pp. 843317 about 100 M.T. was parked in rows at pp. 819299. Six fires were observed at pp. 847302. At 890310 wake and wash of craft seen moving East, at 1102 hours. Height of Formation 8000 ft. At 840327 time 1117 hours a long streak of oil was seen. At 831273 was a crashed aircraft. (Wellington ?) No movement near.
The Landing ground had no aircraft and the formation bombed a camp of fifty tents around the S.W. side of the L.G. causing one explosion. A number of explosions and red flashes were seen to take place among bomb-bursts after the formation left the target.
