3 Baltimores took off from BIFERNO L/G at 1410 Hrs to bomb and strafe a suspected Wireless Station in mountains S.W. of PALENA (H0873). They set course unescorted in 1427 Hrs. 10/10 Cu and St. Cu 10000' tops in target area prevented the attack and all aircraft returned with bomb load at 1515 Hrs. There was no alternative target. NO enemy opposition.
