11 Marauders (in two Boxes of 4 A/c and one of 3 A/c) briefed to attack a Road Bridge over the Savio River p.p. M642254, with 44 x 1000 lbs. Demo., were airborne from PESCARA at 0757 hrs. Formations were over Target between 0901 and 0903 hrs., and bombed from 10600, 11500 and 11700 feet respectively on a course of 245º The first Box had a Lateral Right Error, bombs falling on approach Road and D/H's on buildings North of Bridge. Second box undershot, Bombs falling across R.R. line. The Third Box had a slight Lateral Error scoring D/H's on Northern approach of Bridge. 4 x 1000 lbs. Demo hung up and were brought back. Slight inaccurate H.A.A. The weather over Target Area was clear and visibility good. Last A/c down by 1003 hrs.
