Six Marylands set off at 1050 hours, and landed at M'sus for further instructions, and to pick up a Fighter escort. The formation then flew South West to the target area, South of Agadabia - Matar Road. A large number of M.T. estimated at 1500 with some A.F.Vs were seen to be well dispersed over a large area. At SX 3015 and SX 4016 rather more concentrated groups were seen, and several bombs were dropped on the formation. Observers selected individual targets, and all bombs, with the exception of 7 hang ups were dropped in the target area. Two fires were reported on leaving. Much of the area appeared to have been recently bombed, and one fire was seen burning on our arrival. Most of the M.T. was stationary, but a fair amount was moving Westwards along the Agedabia road, North of the target.
