Nine Marylands took off at 1608 hours, followed by nine from 12 Squadron to rendezvous at L.G. 122 with Fighters. After following the main road from el-Buda? to Acroma, they selected individual targets on an and near the Acroma-Derna road, as far as the junction. Comparatively few M.T. were actually on the road, going in both directions. Groups of tents and M.T., and what appeared to be a dump, were found in wadis near the escarpment. Two runs were made from the South to North and vice versa - and individual targets were selected. The above mentioned dump was hit, causing a big fire with much black smoke, one burst seen right amongst a close group of large M.T. or tanks, at at least two tents were demolished. These results were all obtained by one Maryland. Other bursts were in vicinity of road? and R.W. (Railway). It was noticed that there was only a moderate amount of M.T. (50) on the el-Adem - Acroma Road, moving each way. A large number of M.T. South West of Acroma. No movement was seen East of el-Adem. 20 small aircraft seen on Sidi Rezegh L.G.
