Nine A/c airborne between 1345 and 1707 hours, to attack the PONTEBBA M/Y at C471689. From BELLARIA 8 Spits escorted the formation, which bombed in three Vics from 12500 feet on a course between 240 - 270 degrees at 1524 to 1530 hours. Each A/c carried 6 x 500 lb and 4 x 250 lb demo fused. First two boxes experienced right errors of 300 yds +, no hits in target area claimed. Third Box straddled widest portion of M/Y with an excellent pattern, with numerous direct hits on track and rolling stock. Weather good in target area, but visibility hazy.
