12 Marauders airborne from JESI L/G at 1015 Hrs. to attack 3 Bridges at ZIDANI MOST (R.(D) 903221). They formed up in three boxes of four and after rendezvous at RIMINI with 4 Spitfires, they set course for target at 11.11 Hrs. followed by 30 Squadron. The leader made almost a complete circuit over target to identify it, and attacked at 12.33 Hrs. from 11200' on a course of 085 degrees. All his bombs but one hung up. The remainder of his box bombed then and overshot about 200 yards on the side of the hill (D905223 – D907223). The second box bombed from 12500' on 055 degrees, resulting in left lateral error & slight overshoot from D903223 to D906226. Third box also experienced a lateral error to the left, stick from D902225 to D903227 (Bombing height 12600', course 040 degrees). The leader came in on a second run and dropped his bombs on select at 12.39 Hrs from 11200' on a course of 070 degrees, also an overshoot from R.R. siding onto the side of the hills. No enemy opposition. Weather good, visibility good except for slight haze. All A/c landed by 14.05 Hrs.
