Nine Marylands took off at 1415 hours, followed by nine of 12 Squadron, to attack enemy forces on the top of escarpment, between grid 420404 and 429402. A large escort of Fighters was picked up at L.G. 122 and the formation set off. On flying along the ridge, scattered groups and dispersed M.T. and guns were bombed individually, and a big flash was seen to result at 426403. Nearer the Western end of the run, more M.T. was seen, and a big concentration of M.T., and tents was seen at 421403. Remaining bombs were released on this, and several near misses were observed. During the operation 15 tanks were seen moving Northwards from the escarpment towards Sidi Rezegh. A large number of M.T. in the wadis North of target run, a big dug in camp at 416404, and 150 M.T. dispersed each side of the road at 412400. 10 Fighter aircraft were reported on the ground at 440400.
