Results: One explosion seen in centre of SAN AMBROGIO and smoke from SOUTH end of village. 10 flashes ARTY G890082 Smoke bursts in SAN AMBROGIO 2 Spitfires dived on formation near target causing doubt as to intention. One a/c returned early due to engine over-heating – jettisoned bombs as above.

First box dropped 2/3 bombs short of river G895065, balance along Eastern edge of Southern part of target. Second box dropped all bombs in Southern part of target from G885093 - 885075 N.R.O.
