8 Marauders (4-4) airborne from JESI L/G between 0940-1220 hrs to attack PONTEBBA M/Yards. Formation set course from base at 1009 hrs. escorted by 4 Mustangs. On the way to the target the formation was diverted from the main target to MONSANTA M/Yards at GORIZIA and bombed at 1105 - 1108 hrs on a course of 240º from 12000'. The first box after a dummy run straddled the M/Yards with 80% of bombs in target. 3 Explosions were seen in the yards as a result of the bombing. The second box had a 200 yards overshoot stick falling in open country. No enemy opposition encountered. Weather; target clear except for 4/10ths cirrus at 20,000 feet. Visibility, good.
