Air defences: H.A.A. intense and fairly accurate. 1 H.A.A. gun at TZ 4623 (Near monument) 4 H.A.A. guns at 3029 6/8 H.A.A. guns at Z 3532 3 H.A.A. guns at Z 5615 2 H.A.A. guns on GABES L.G. approximately 16 guns around MARETH Village.
Results: WELLINGTON A/C with dinghy beside it seen on the coast at QJ 75 EASTING. Twin-engine A/C crash-landed at QP 0597. A few well dug-in vehicles seen in Wadi SW of target.

Observers bombed individually and all bombs straddled the road between pp. Z 4814 and Z 5110. Direct hits were secured on the road and one bomb burst near a vehicle. No further results were seen. (Not more than 12 MT were seen on the entire GABES - MARETH road. Target was considered very poor.)
