8 Marauders, one of which returned early owing to engine trouble after jettisoning bombs at sea, took off from JESI L/G at 1416 hrs. to attack BARRACKS AREA AT M432747 by blind bombing method. 4 Marauders from 12 Squadron were to accompany formation but failed to rendezvous – Formation set course from RIMINI at 1525 hrs. at 13000' under control of ground station. Attack took place at 1539 hrs. from 13000' on a course of 345º, both boxes in close line astern. Target obscured by cloud, bombs released on instruction from controller – No results observed. No enemy opposition. 10/10th Strata Cu from FANO Northwards, 4000' Tops. All A/c landed by 1644 hrs.
