8 A/c in two boxes, plus a wind-finding A/c, airborne between 1228 and 1552 hrs. FORMATION briefed to attack an AMMO. DUMP 12 miles West of GORIZIA, but on arrival target was found obscured by cloud and formation proceeded to alternative (CONEGLIANO M/Y), which was attacked from about 13000' at 1438 hrs on an approximate course of 200 degrees. Both boxes overshot M/Y but caused extensive damage among large sheds and buildings South of target. Slight inaccurate H.A.A. from T/A. Formation escorted from PORTO CORSINI by 8 Spits. Wind A/c, escorted by 4 Spits, bombed ROTTA NOVA stores after primary duty completed: all bombs in T/A but no hits on sheds claimed.
