1400 hrs Ben Hagen
Rear Party Instructions were received from 3 Wing, that the Squadron had to leave at 14.00 Hrs. for the staging area, from where the embarkation would take place for SICILY. A ‘flap’ was created as everything was to be fixed up on very short notice. At 1400 Hrs when the convoy was already lined up, the move was cancelled until the 3rd of August.
