0600 hrs El Djem
Our “A” Party was on the road at 0600 hours this morning and arrived at EL DJEM at 1100 hours to find that a Fighter Squadron has taken up our position the day before and was unable to establish camp. Everybody was very pleased with the country as it is quite different than the old desert. Green valleys, trees and flowers have a very good effect on morale. In the meantime a temporary camp was established in an olive plantation near the landing ground. Aircraft and “B” Party still at HASBUB. No operational flying. Oprep No.265
