UNION LOAN CERTIFICATES.The attention of all ranks is directed to thefacilites for investment in UNION LOAN CERTIFICATES, fulldetails of which can be obtained from the Pay Office.(G.R.O. Serial No. 91, Para. 255/44 d.d. 30.6.44).Para. 248. CARRYING OF PHOTOGRAPHS & DOCUMENTS IN AIRCRAFT.All personnel travelling to Cairo or to SouthAfrica by air are warned that there is a Customs check atEgyptian Aerodromes and on entry to the Union and that phot-ographs and documents may be confiscated by the Egyptian andUnion Authorities.(Extract SAOA/MAAF/6/16 d.d. 6.7.44).Para. 249. AIR RAID PRECAUTIONS.The Enemy has resumed sporadic night attacks on ourfront. All personnel are therefore to have their own slittrenches and when the alarm sounds will ensure that black-out restrictions are rigidly adhered to.(A.D.A.F.
