Scully (C.1663), Royal Canadian Air Force,of No. 18 Squadron, R.A.F., was on 12th May, 1944, foundguilty by General Court Martial of disobedience in that herefused to fly when ordered.He was sentenced (1) to take rank and precedence asif his appointment as Temporary Flight Lieutenant bore date13th May, 1944, and (2) to be severely reprimanded.The Finding and Sentence have been confirmed.(ARO. Serial No. 25, para. 243 d.d. 24.6.44).Para. 240. ROME.With effect from 18th June, 1944, daily visits toRome for Desert Air Force personnel are authorised subjectto the following conditions :(i) All personnel are to be in possession of a day passsigned by the Commanding Officer.(ii) Personnel are not to enter Rome before 07.00 hours daily,and are to leave the city by 22.00 hours.(iii) Haversack rations are to be carried.UNITS MAY SEND UP TO A MAXIMUM OF 20 PERSONNELDAILY BUT THIS NUMBER IS NOT TO BE EXCEEDED.
