DISCIPLINE - CAMP INSPECTIONThe Commanding Officer's Inspection of Camp linesand living quarters will take place on Saturday, 13th May,1944. At least one occupant of each tent will standby ata time to be announced on Friday night.para. 157. LEAVE.No leave will be granted unless personnel proceedto recognised Leave Camps.para. 158. FRUIT AND VEGETABLES.The removal of fruit or vegetables from gardens orfields without the owner's consent is forbidden.(W.H. R.O. 22/44, para. 85 d.d. 9.5.44).para. 159. ENDORSEMENT OF ENVELOPES.All ranks will in future endorse the seals of allpersonal postage packets and letters with their number,rank and name followed by S.A.A.F. Nothing else must beadded.For example : No. 58490V A/Sgt. Sox A.I.V.(W.H. R.O. 22/44, para. 86 d.d. 9.5.44). S.A.A.F.para. 160. THEFTS FROM TRUCKS IN TRANSIT.Numerous instances have recently occurred whereservice equipment has been stolen from service vehicles intransit. These thefts generally take place in towns whentrucks have to slow down or stop.Personnel concerned will, in future, adopt allprecautionary measures and, when necessary, a second manwill accompany the driver in the capacity of "look-out"that such thefts may be avoided.(W.H. M.T. - CARRIAGE OF PASSENGERS.No passenger in a service vehicle is to sit on theside or tailboard or upon the top of the hood.Civilians and other persons who are not uniformedmembers of the Armed Forces of the United Nations are notto be carried in service vehicles except in so far as thejourney may be in any connection with duty upon which theymay be engaged for any of H.M. WELLS.Matches, cigarette-ends or other burning items arenot to be thrown into disused wells as quantities of marshgas may collect which may be ignited and result in anexplosion.(A.R.O.
