Preparations were made for the advance party to leave early the following day.18thThe Adjutant and the advance party left Tortorella at 09.15 hours, and with the exception of some vehicles taking the wrong road, the trip was uneventful. The first vehicles arrived at the new camp at 17.00 hours. Unfortunately it had rained the previous day and the resulting sea of mud did not make a good impression on the newcomers. No raid was carried out by the Squadron to-day.19thSites were allocated by the Adjutant; sections and personnel started to settle down. Vehicles were sent back to assist the rear party. Bad weather hampered all operations.
