The weather favoured Jerry again over the target today, Capt. CORMACK led a formation of 18 Baltimores to bomb enemy gun positions in area included by pp. 2597, 2297, 2593 2793 (Ref. Map. Tunisia 1:500,000 Sheet N.J.32 SE.Tunis), but owing to very bad visibility and rain the target could not be located and bombs were dropped over an area included by pp. 2003, 2005, 1707 and 1506. Intense A.A. was encountered including small arms fire over the whole target area and 9 aircraft were holed. One aircraft was badly shot-up and had to be returned to the R.S.U. for a replacement.
