08.00Advance Party with Captain P.W. van HEERDEN in command left for L.G. 98 to clear site and prepare camp pending the movement of the Squadron. Lieuts. RICH and CUMMING are included in the Advanced Party to fix dispersal points for aircraft.15.00The funeral of the late Lieut. J. P. ZAHN took place at the British Cemetery at TEL-EL-KIBR. Lieut. ZAHN who was one of our youngest pilots, Joined the Squadron at L.G. 98 in May, 1942. He assisted in the ferrying of our Baltimores from the Union to the Middle East. Popular and well-liked, he will be missed in the Mess and in the Squadron.Five Fitter Armourers posted to S.A.A.F. Depot for R.T.U.,on replacement.No. 278384 Capt. S.
