* MACHINE NO. (Serial Numbers): The aircraft listed (e.g., 1669, 1668, 1664) are Martin Maryland medium bombers. These twin-engine airframes were the technical predecessors to the Martin Baltimore, featuring a four-man crew.
* OP. GUNNER: Operator Gunner. This aircrew member was responsible for wireless telegraphy (Morse code radio) communication and managing aerial cameras, in addition to manning defensive machine guns.
